Wander in Style

Anyone who knows me knows my love for adventure. Be it a spontaneous road trip, trying a new restaurant, or months spent abroad. It takes very little to ignite my imagination and spiral me into daydreams of new places, flavors, and things.

Another thing that isn't very secret is my love of Kate Spade. I feel like her line is so imaginative, cheeky, and on point.

Looking through the most recent spring collection, I was excited to see new luggage options that have been added. It's always fun when two of my favorites smoosh together, even in an unintentional collaboration. Read: wanderlust + pretty designs.

A few of my favorites are below.

(Also, I always eye Kate's new line, but wait for the 75% off sales to actually purchase anything. Just subscribe to her emails to get the insider scoop when the "Surprise Sales" are on.)

Tidbits

A few snapshots of life lately.

Just about the cutest Easter decor ever at Paper Source.

Read this book for bookclub. It was so sweet + tender, I didn't want it to end.

Me trying on the Barbour jacket (mentioned yesterday) while in Chicago.

Sweetest creamers and doily at brunch with my dad.

Most recent, and probably last snowstorm of the season. I think I'm the only person in the state still captivated by the magic of the white fluff.

Snowy night = perfect excuse for cocoa. My very favorite recipe ever here
(I add cayenne to the whipped cream for an added kick.)

Practicing calligraphy. Forever in love with words + doodles.

Wednesday Wishlist

To my loyal readers,

I am so sorry for the radio silence. Life has been a whirlwind and somehow my words just never quite made it into published form. I took photos of every recipe I made and every restaurant I ate at (yes, I'm one of those people). I said "I should blog this!" hundreds of times. I took photos while I was shopping - of candles, fabrics, and tchotchkes too pretty not to share. I made mental notes of all the stories and sillies I wanted to post and share and remember. Alas, the blog sat quietly, patiently for seven months, waiting for me to type. And, today is that day.

A short post but a post nonetheless.

Have you ever heard of Barbour?

When we visited Boston last May, we took a tour of Harvard. I felt like Rory Gilmore (pre-Yale) meets Elle Woods and it was everything my East Coast, prep-loving heart had hoped for. We took a student-lead tour and I would highly recommend it for anyone planning a visit. She was sweet and informative and had all sorts of fun stories and secrets about the classes and campus folklore. So, where does an outerwear company tie in to the story? Our guide was wearing a Barbour jacket, more specifically, the Classic Beadnell Waxed jacket shown above.

Maybe I'm super late to the party and everyone already has six of these jackets in their closet or maybe hardly anyone knows of them, but either way wanted to share.

I think it would be darling styled with leggings, rain boots, and a baseball cap or fitted khakis and heels. Olive green + corduroy + plaid + a little British + a little equestrian = all my stars.
